I haven’t put enough miles on the FiST this year(only like 17k), but I did travel some. I’ve made tons of new friends, went to my first festival, voided my warranty, made my car incredibly obnoxious, and several other things, mostly revolving around the car community. Here is some of my 2017, pic heavy and not all car:
Me visiting an old spot me and friends used to do donuts in, I could not recreate. Handbrake turns it is.
I don’t even really miss it.

Yep, it’s still around.
If 2018 is as good as this year, I’ll be happy. I’ll be starting it in Daytona(well within the month), so I should be off to a good start.

2017 was a pretty neutral year for me. Hopefully that is an indication that 2018 is going to be the first year I will look back fondly on since 2013 or so.

This year has slipped by without anything of mention, honestly...

I’ve driven around 65k miles this year, so I’ve seen a lot.

Best thing I’ve accomplished this year was moving across the country. Quite the adventure, but not something I would do again lol. Also bought an STi and finally have my Miata ready for track days.

Are you going to the Daytona 24?

Yup, me and Daender on here are going.

I want to move, but not necessarily across the country, just to a more populated area.

I might go. I’m trying to decide whether to go to the 24 or the Detroit auto show.

Why to a more populated area? That’s my only complaint about being here in Los Angeles now, just too many damn people. If it weren’t for the great roads, perfect weather, and scenic ocean and mountain views, then this would be hell on earth. But I can deal with it for now while I’m young.

I’ve lived in the sticks almost all of my life, and I’ve hated living in them most of that time. Being close to events, food, bars, and just things in general are worth more to me than not seeing my neighbors house.

I imagine this is a common sentiment considering it’s always so damn crowded in urban areas. I’m not a socialite in any stretch of the imagination, I’m happier being the only person in a 100 sq mile area. Just me versus the wilderness. Funny how I get along so well with my girlfriend though who loves going to hang out with the girls and is part of 3 or 4 different friend groups, always off doing something social. My form of “socializing” is that friendly wave after ripping through a fun Canyon road with somebody else and continuing on your own way at the end. Just happened to cross paths for a moment and onward to the next.
